Summer 2013 . . . Davis's Birthday

We really did some fun things this summer, despite a very sick mother, and I need to get some pictures posted so that eventually, I when I get all caught up and make this blog into a book, those fun things will be remembered.  So the next few posts will be a little trip back in time a few months.  I wasn't sick until July, so the fun things in June were a little more fun than the rest of the summer.

First of all, and most importantly, Davis turned 5.  Yep.  My baby boy turned 5.  And he didn't want to go to the zoo this year (although his grandmother did, so we went the day before for her birthday) - he wanted to go to the Dinosaur Park.

First present of the day, though, was opened after breakfast because I could hardly wait.  Two bows and arrows!  He is apparently not quite strong enough, but he is very smart and figured out that if he sits on the front step he can us his foot to brace the bottom of the bow and shoot at the tree.

Then a fun party with a few friends at the Dinosaur Park in the afternoon.  He invited Lincoln Brooks, Payson Bird, and Evan Triplett.  And Grandma came along to help keep the chaos of four five-year-olds and one inexperienced mother under control.

And finally a fun family party at home with a Superhero cake and cupcakes.
