Fun Times in August

Just a few pictures of some of the fun things we did in August.  About the first of August I realized we only had a few more weeks of summer before school started.  In June, it felt like summer would last forever.  For. Ev. Er.  But it didn't.

We had the opportunity to take our family to the Ogden Temple open house.  It is so beautiful!  I had questioned why the church would put so much money into remodeling the old Ogden temple, but now . . . it is so beautiful and anyone who sees it feels the Spirit.  Ogden has become our home, and I am proud to live near such a beautiful temple.  Getting a picture of the family in front of it - not so easy.  The one below is the best of many.

Lagoon!  The boys loved it.  And the parents loved it.  I thought the boys would only last a few hours before they got tired.  But after 9 hours, Darren and I had to drag them home because we were tired.  Eva stayed home with Breanna because I was pretty sure she wouldn't last more than 1 hour.

Darren's work party (V.L.C.M.) was at the Bee's baseball game again this year and he took Davis.  I love a classic father-son night!

And, as always, a little hiking.  Our hikes need to by on trails by little rivers because the only way to get the boys hiking is to promise they get to throw rocks into water.

What fun summer activities! What lucky children to have parents who will take them fun places!
