Project 52: Yoga for Two

Well, this week we borrowed an idea from Whitney's blog for our date night. Neither one of us has tried yoga, so we decided to give it a go together. I checked out a yoga DVD from the library, but because of a limited selection, I ended up with a more advanced workout and perhaps that contributed to our lack of success.

We got the breathing down (in and out through the nose, slowly), but that was about it, and even that was a little iffy while trying to hold poses our bodies were never meant to hold. I realized I have terrible balance and, not surprisingly, Darren's not so flexible. For many of the positions, we "held" them by laying on the floor laughing. It was really fun to try something new together! And to top the night off, we had milk and raspberry fritters -super yummy!

Classic! I think we would laugh our way through an attempt at something like this too. Fun way to spend a date though.

Yay!! I am impressed that you attempted the advanced. I'm pretty sure we would have killed ourselves! You can't lose with yoga--I think it might be even more fun if you are bad at it! :)

My dh is so not flexible and I fear yoga would cause our date to end at the ER! lol
