Hogle Zoo

Tuesday Davis and I, along with my mom and a few friends, went to the Hogle Zoo. The zoo is one of Davis's favorite places, therefore, it is also one of my favorite places. We have been waiting all winter for a warm day and finally . . .beautiful weather(and how long have we all been waiting for that?)!

Bad news - the bears have been moved to a different zoo while Hogle Zoo creates a new area for them. And the zebras died. Two of Davis's favorite animals to see. Luckily, he was sufficiently side-tracked by the ability to walk around freely outside.

The baby elephant is still as cute as ever and so is the baby giraffe. We also saw a baby monkey, one of those black ones, with the long white tails. It was pretty cute, though did not hold Davis's interest quite like the baby elephant playing with her big red ball. He takes after his grandma with his love for the baby elephant.

Great place to go while it is still cool out because the animals are a little more active and playful. It is also much less crowded and Davis loves that because he can go where he wants without getting stumbled over and he can see all the animals without being held up to see over someone else. Definitely worth getting a membership.
