October Pics

Since we didn't go out of town for Fall Break, we decided to have a birthday party for our favorite stuffed animals.  Davis chose Chippy, his squirrel; Noah chose Puppy, his puppy blanket; and Eva chose her purple bunny.  We baked brownies and went to the book store to let the kids each choose a book they thought their stuffed animal would like.  Davis was so sweet - he was torn between a book about Dangerous Animals that he really wanted, but decided to get one about forest animals, because it had a squirrel in, just like Chippy. We invited the Rappleyes from South Ogden to join us and had a great time!

Another thing worth writing about is the melanoma that was found on my arm.  I had it taken off down at the UofU Dermatology office.  When I took the bandage off, I had a bit of a meltdown and just about fainted because it was a much bigger wound than I expected.  I have learned that I am terrible with medical things.  Don't count on my to help in a crisis.  I definitely won't think rationally when I see mine or someone else's blood.  And I will most definitely need someone else to wash and change the bandage when my arm looks like something out of a Frankenstein movie.

Each of the kids took a turn being sick, something with a stomach bug.  Davis likes being close to the toilet in case of a throwing up emergency.  We make him a little bed and he hangs out in the bathroom until he feels better.  The picture of Eva sleeping is not when she was sick.  Just took one because I love how sweet my kids look when they are asleep.
