Noah Paints Eva's face, Nov 2015

One particularly difficult Saturday, when the kids had pushed me to my breaking point, Eva came into my room after she and Noah had been unaccounted for for too long.  This is what she looked like.  And just in case you are wondering - that's mascara.

Me:  "NOAH!"
Noah, walking into the room:  "What?"  Innocent as all get out.
Me:  "Did you do this to Eva?"
Noah:  "Yes."
Me:  "Why?"  (with a voice full of anguish and longing for that time before I had kids)
Noah:  "Because.  I was just painting her."

Luckily Darren was home and very calm, and I at least had the presence of mind to know it might be funny.  Someday.  So I angrily took a picture.  And then left the house for awhile.

You are so lucky to have a calm husband at times like this.
