Lions Don't Pee in Our House

You know those times when you are so angry you are speechless?  You know, past yelling at your child.  Had one of those today.  I walked into my room and Davis was just finishing peeing on the carpet.  He had just dropped his pants and peed.  He had to walk past the bathroom to get there.  It wasn't an accident.  I asked him why he did it (once the silent screaming ended) and he said, "Well, I didn't know you were coming in here."  AHHHH.  So I asked him if he had done it before.  He said yes, in our closet.  How many times?  "Ummm.  Maybe ten?"

Darren took over the discipline while I cleaned up.  After a little while, after everyone was calm again, I asked him again why he decided to pee on our carpet.  He said he was a lion and was marking his territory.  We had just watched a Wild Kratts episode that talked about that.  I had to really try hard to calmly, yet very firmly, tell him lions don't pee in our house.  Neither do tigers.  Or any other animals.  Or  any boys pretending to be those animals.

Hilarious! Because I'm not the mother and because it's not my carpet he peed on, this is so funny! This is one you'll want to remember to tell him when he's about 20!
